With clients across 25 countries and multiple sectors, we specialise business and technology advisory services, and in the implementation and integration of technology platforms, partnering with market leading technologies such as Qualtrics, Qlik and Zendesk. In addition, Capventis will be spinning off a partner SaaS company, Glu Systems, to launch GluPlatform technology solution / SaaS, which has been in development over the past two years. GluPlatform will, in turn, present a new proposition to Capventis Customers and the wider market, as well as support another start up venture called Spontza, which will use GluPlatform to provide a market place for world of sponsorship, advertising and B2B / B2C engagement.

About The Role

Capventis’ business is growing, both in volume and in organisation terms, and the company needs to expand its current finance function. Based out of the Capventis Head Office in Dublin and reporting to the CEO and to the Operations Director, the role of Financial Accountant will support Capventis’ existing and new business units, registered in both IRL and UK. Key activities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly / annual management accounts
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Payroll processing and expenses
  • Supplier invoice processing and payments
  • VAT processing and returns
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Asset management & depreciation
  • Procurement portals (ARIBA, TUNGSTEN, COUPA, etc.) for customer billing
  • Debtors and Creditors oversight
  • Financial forecasting & budgeting
  • Annual audit support

In addition, the Financial Accountant will work closely with Operations to support the work done on monthly invoicing, deferred income & prepaid expenses recognition, subscriptions management, supplier setup / legal documents and support contracts.

The ideal candidate will be somebody who is a qualified accountant with some relevant professional experience. They will be highly organised and accurate, with great attention to detail. They will be very proficient in accounting practices, an excellent communicator (written and verbal), proactive and above all, will be someone who is ready to learn and expand their abilities. They will be able to demonstrate their abilities and display an impressive track record in education and in previous employment.

Required

  • Qualified in any of the following
    • ACCA
    • ACA
    • CIMA
  • Experience and Skills
    • In-depth knowledge of key accounting functions and best practice
    • Experience of working with at least one modern accounting package (any) across all core modules
    • Expertise in MS Office suite of products (NB! Excel)
    • Previous relevant work experience – in accountancy practice or in business
  • Demonstrable skills and capabilities
    • Strong academic record
    • Certifications and awards
    • Track record in employment
  • Communications Skills
    • Fluent English is essential
    • Excellent written and verbal presentation
